Description:

Deployed shortly before the Battle of Yavin, the A-Wing is a small ship with an incredible turn of speed. It's primary duties are interception, recon and the fabled "hit and fade" attacks. Mounting only two laser cannons and comparatively weak shields, the A-Wing has the lightest armament of serving Alliance starfighters, but makes up for this with its high speed, maneuverability and acceleration. The A-Wing also carries a load of 12 concussion missiles, which while not as powerful as torpedoes, can give enemy capital ships a fair amount to worry about.
