Sherry "Shok'wave" Krenzel was born on Verdant, an industrial world on the border of Imperial territory. She grew up working in her family's communications business, which was later co-opted by Verdant's Imperial governor. Seeing other organizations and people fall under Imperial control, Shok'wave made a run for the Outer Rim. | |
| On the Rim,
she spent some time training and serving in various
starfighter squadrons, discovering in herself a
measurable sensitivity to the Force and an affinity for
the B-wing heavy assault fighters. Shortly after joining the Alliance, Shok'wave was appointed CO of Praying Mantis Squadron, an all-female group of assault and bombardment pilots. The Mantises served together for two years before a combination of factors caused them to reorganize into White Squadron. |

While Shok'wave's duties as Commanding Officer take up most of her time, she is still able to spend off-duty time with her pilots, to say nothing of taking part in the occasional "long-range reconnaissance" flight. The rest of her spare time she spends with her husband Matt "Blackjack" Krenzel. | |
| A good part of their time is spent glued in front of their monitors while Shok'wave constantly nags him to bring her a fresh cup of coffee. Now we all know the real reason why she talks so much. <vbg> | ||
